Your money or your life

“Your money or your life?” No, this is not a film or a crime situation. God Himself asks this of you. Wait, let me rephrase: God asks your life, not your money. He does, however, watch what you do with your money. Your (un)willingness to give is a clear barometer of your own faith. The way in which you handle your possessions constantly show in whose service you stand. Your addiction to money, or your freedom from it, shows where your treasures are stored. Jesus teaches us that you can’t serve both God and Mammon at the same time. You have to choose – either your money or your life; your earthly kingdom or a treasure in heaven. No, you can’t have both at the same time. It’s either God, or money as your boss. Rather lose your life for God than for money. Fact is, one day you will breathe your last breath. Why would you want to lose your life for money? Why would you want to work for a hard master your whole life, only to have your soul stolen as well?
